San Rocco Cane Corso Puppy Contract

Puppies from San Rocco will be healthy and up to date on all shots and deworming.   Puppies need to be checked by your own licensed vet within 3 business days of receiving your puppy to verify the puppy’s good health upon arrival and to ensure you will continue to have your pup under good care. San Rocco takes no responsibility for any communicable disease a puppy may receive after 3 business days of puppy’s arrival.    If the vet finds puppy to be of unstable health you must let us know immediately with proof from the licensed vet and return the puppy immediately.  Buyer will be responsible for all shipping charges.  We will replace the puppy as soon as one of comparable value becomes available. No money at any time will be refunded. We are under no obligation to change the sex of the puppy nor move you up on the list.

All puppies come with their tails docked. Puppies will be guaranteed against Hip Dysplasia (HD) for  12 months, however, a 24-month Guarantee will be provided to customers, we recommend  NuVet supplements. In the event you wanted to add a change in your pup’s food with a different brand we also feed Pawtree to two of our dogs for added diversity, this dog food is also approved in our contract. These purchases must be verified, therefore must be purchased from our codes and links. When a puppy is adopted to a new home its immune system can suffer from stress, as well as side effects from any new vaccines your vet may administer, therefore, it is very important that you give nuvetplus  to help boost your pups immune system. We understand there are some good choices when it comes to no grain dog food, so we do not require in this contract for you to use Lifes Abundance, only a comparable holistic brand.

“Due to the varying kinds of food and different environmental conditions the puppies come in contact with; and the fact that all puppies have immune systems that take time to mature, the terms of this guarantee we strongly recommend NuVet Plus® immune system builder, as directed by the manufacturer.

About NuVet Plus

NuVet Plus is made in the USA using natural, human-grade ingredients that are formulated in an FDA-registered pharmaceutical laboratory.

Holistic Veterinarian recommended, NuVet Plus was designed for dogs at every life stage; from supporting your puppy’s maturing immune system to helping to protect against issues later in life.

For your convenience you may order by phone by calling 800-474-7044, using order code 29175 or online at www.nuvet.com/29175 NuVet products are not sold in stores. Customers outside the U.S. must place orders by phone only.

A Cane Corso pup that spends much of his time in a crate will not have the HD guarantee,  as proper exercise is equally important for proper growth and development. You will make sure not to over-exert the puppy until fully developed.  We feed our puppies Lifes Abundance  Dog Food,  along with organic beef (as supplements), we also supplement with NuVet Plus and NuVet Joint. This is extremely important for the dog’s growth and continued health. We recommend you feed a comparable holistic dog food with no grain.

You will continue with good care for your Cane Corso including all necessary immunizations and heartworm protection.

Should you have the unfortunate experience that your puppy develops crippling hip dysplasia within the said time frame we will replace your puppy. The puppy must have an OFA/PennHIP  test  (done not within 2 months of heat). If the OFA results are moderate HD or worse we will replace your puppy. You must notify us of this immediately. You must send us the OFA papers with the dog’s registration # on it and a picture of the x-ray. Our vet will verify the condition to be true. Said puppy must also be spayed/neutered (verification sent to us), and puppy’s original registration papers also sent to us before replacement is made.  We will replace with puppy as soon as comparable pup becomes available. Buyer will be responsible for shipping charges of new puppy brought in. Replacement of a puppy will be done only once on the original puppy.

Puppies will carry the San Rocco name along with their name on their registration papers.

At San Rocco we have done everything to produce stable-minded puppies, both in breeding and early socialization. It is the buyer’s responsibility to continue this by taking the puppy to obedience class before eighteen months. This will help your puppy’s confidence and make him more socialized. Remember these Dogs will be large and will need to be mannered.

Dog is not allowed to be used in any illegal activates or in any breeding to dogs of another type of breed or to Cane Corso of inferior quality. We will be happy to assist you in finding a good mate for your Cane Corso. Our dogs are of superior breeding and it is our desire that their offspring carry the same quality both in temperament and conformation.

Offspring from this dog will never be sold to puppy mills or pet stores to be resold for profit. Buyer must be responsible to place all offspring directly into good homes.

Females will not be used for breeding purposes before 18 months of age.

We reserve the right to use for San Rocco’s breeding purposes only, any stud, bearing the San Rocco name, should we choose to do so. We will not provide compensation for this.

If puppy is abused in any way San Rocco has the right to reclaim the dog at any time, with no compensation made.

Under no circumstance do we grant cash refund or accept any liability for medical expense, veterinary fees or any other expense related to the care of your San Rocco Cane Corso.

Cherry Eye, Entropian and Ectropion are common conditions with all Mollosser breeds and are not covered by our guarantee.

Any breaching of this contract will make it void.  The contract is good for original buyers only.

We have no other guarantee other than those stated on this document. Buyer and seller agree to hold to their part of the agreement.

Medical Drugs we restrict

Due to the large instances of deaths related to dogs due to certain drugs prescribed by Vets we feel it is our obligation as a breeder to make people aware for the betterment of the health of their puppy. We feel medicating innocent victims (Dogs) is all too common in our society where Americans use 80% of the worlds prescription drugs, yet make up only 4.4% of the world population. I feel its our duty to point to the fact that some Vets appear to be interested in treating rather than curing the health of dogs, after all they get paid to treat your sick dog, we adopt pups to families and have a reputation we want to uphold for many years to come.

We prohibit the use of certain drugs on our puppies and dogs, if you use these drugs your contract will be void.

Giving oral flea medicine to a puppy VOIDS your health warranty! This stuff is POISON! We believe that in some cases it can be fatal to pups and dogs, this includes but not limited to: Comfortis, Terminix, Sentinel, Trifexis

Waiting List

there is NO GUARANTEE OF ANY TIMELINE FOR THE LITTER BIRTH IF YOU ARE ON THE LIST SO WE WILL SPECULATE ON THE LITTER TIME, YOUR DEPOSIT CAN BE CARRIED FORWARD IF THE LITTER DOES NOT PRODUCE YOUR PUPPY!

We maintain waiting lists for customers on future litters. Customers are organized in the order their deposits were received. Customers are given until 5 weeks to choose their picks. Customers can carry their deposits forward to future litters if they desire. We will not reserve a puppy prior to any deposit being received, once the deposit is received, then we will email you a receipt and your pick order. If you are interested in a faster payment to secure your puppy reservation, please use PayPal rather than a check payment

Specific Parents – We can never guarantee a puppy from specific parents at a particular time since we can never be sure how many the particular dog will have, we will do our best to set you up with the parents of your choice, however, we maintain one list for our litters.

We reserve the right to refuse deposit/payment if we feel our puppy would not have a good home, or for improper fencing. We also reserve the right any time to send back a deposit at our discretion at any time for any reason to ensure the puppy has the best home. Your deposit reserves a puppy, however, it does not guarantee that we will sell you one if we feel the temperament is not a good match for your family, or your family is not a good match for this breed.

We reserve the right to add Show/Breed quality puppies to a litter if the litter has a larger than normal amount of Show/Breed quality puppies. The average amount of Show/Breed quality puppies per litter is 2 per litter, however, this is subject to change to a lower or higher amount, depending on the quality of the litter.

Withdrawing from the list

If you are not able to receive a puppy due to a change in living conditions (moving) or restrictions on your home HOA etc… or for any reason, we will take you off our list and can place you back on the list when things improve. Adding a customer back on the list will only be done after the living conditions improve or circumstances are deemed better to handle a puppy and the customer will be added at the back of the list at the time of reinstatement, and to the list, and will lose their initial list order spot, the customer is subject to any change in prices and the price of the pup will reflect the current prices when added back on the list.

Deposits

We wish to have appropriate homes arranged for our dogs in a timely manner and it is unfair to us and the dog to cancel at the last minute.  For this reason, deposits with San Rocco Cane Corso are nonrefundable, and we ask that you only place a deposit to reserve a dog if you are 100% certain about your commitment to follow through with your purchase. If a breeding is unsuccessful, deposits may be  transferred to future breeding of the client’s choice

Fencing

As you may know this dog is a protector and a 6 foot fence is recommended, we often read about dogs of all breeds getting into trouble and being labeled as “vicious” only to find out an owner did not even have proper fencing, in the end the dog will suffer. To have proper fencing means a safer environment for outsiders and your dog escaping. If you do not have the proper fencing by puppy pickup time we have the right to refuse a puppy to you.

Pick Order

Puppies will be chosen by 5 weeks in their designated reservation order, they can be chosen online, or at our home. If puppy choice is delayed by a customer past 5 weeks San Rocco reserves the right to skip over the customer’s pick, to allow another customer to chose, and prevent holding up the reservation line.

Photos / Videos

We will supply photos of pups born to the list with a link starting at 2 weeks of age, we will update photos of pups every week. Due to our focus being the health of the pups this is our first and foremost priority.

Pick Up

San Rocco reserves the right to add additional Kennel boarding fees if the customer’s pick-up is later than our designated pick-up date, we also reserve the right to place your puppy to another family if you are not able to pick your puppy up between 8-9 weeks of age.

The puppy must be paid in full by 7 weeks of age.
On rare occasions such as a military deployment change or family emergency, San Rocco may offer boarding services for our pups if you are not able to take them home when they are available, or if you need us to hold your pup for a bit longer. These circumstances must be pre-approved as we keep pups in our home.  Cane Corsos are boarded at the rate of $15.00/day, board balance will be paid before puppy will be released. Board will include feed, play-time, bathing, socialization, vaccinations, worming, nail trims, vet visit if needed, and general care.. The buyer will be responsible for veterinary expenses incurred while the dog is being boarded.

Ear Cropping/Tail Docking

The choice to crop ears on your puppy is left to each new owner. San Rocco does not require ear crops on any of our puppies, however, we are happy to refer you to a Vet, or in some cases we can bring your pup to get cropped for an additional fee.
In some cases, we may decide not to have the tails docked due to the fact that some new moms get very stressed and this will affect their milk and the overall health of the litter, tail docks in this instance can be handled during an ear crop surgery under sedation, unlike most vets that will not sedate the pups tail dock at 1 week of age. We reserve the right to decide this as we wish for the well-being of the litter. Our Vet crops at 12 weeks of age so you will be required to bring your puppy back for a crop or bring direct to Vet. In some cases we may hold your pup if we have room at our home until 12 weeks, however an added boarding fee will apply.

Breeding Rights Changes

Some people decide later they would like to change the status from pet companion to breeding. Full registration is decided at 8 weeks when a puppy may display show quality characteristics. In some cases this can be changed but the dog must be in compliance with the breed standard and we must determine by health tests as well as videos and photos if the dog can be changed to full registration. A fee of $500 is required to change the registration if we approve your dog. We are under no obligation to change the sex of puppy nor move you up on the list.

Contact Person

We welcome parties large and small to come to our home and are happy to answer any questions. We love chatting about the breed, however, having several parties contacting us separately via phone and email regarding the same puppy, can cause confusion. For buyers protection and privacy, we will communicate via phone or email with the person(s) who has placed the deposit.

Paypal

We accept paypal for deposits only, the paypal used on file to send a deposit must match the address on the future pet owners drivers license at pickup. If for any reason we decide to send a courtesy refund on a deposit, it must be to the paypal email used initially to verify the same persons identity.
